One of the world’s most prestigious technology and innovation brands, WIRED Türkiye brought together leading figures from the business, technology, entrepreneurship, and media ecosystems at its launch event held on May 15 at Rixos Tersane Istanbul.
As part of the event, the panel titled “The Past, Present, and Future of Türkiye’s Entrepreneurship History” was moderated by Barış Özistek. The panel featured Emre Kurttepeli and Nevzat Aydın, who discussed the transformation of Türkiye’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, the evolution of investment culture, and the future of entrepreneurship in the age of artificial intelligence.
Drawing significant attention with his remarks during the panel, Emre Kurttepeli emphasized that Türkiye is undergoing a major transformation, particularly in next-generation technologies. Highlighting the growing importance of strong talent, sustainable funding capacity, and a global mindset in the AI era, Kurttepeli stated that Türkiye continues to produce remarkable success stories in gaming and technology startups.
In his speech, Kurttepeli said: “In the age of artificial intelligence, funding capacity, strong human capital, and the ability to think globally have become more critical than ever. Türkiye is producing significant success stories in gaming and technology ventures; however, in order to achieve a stronger position in global competition, both technology production and the investment ecosystem need to grow further.”
The WIRED Türkiye launch event brought together key stakeholders from the technology and entrepreneurship worlds while also delivering important messages regarding Türkiye’s potential on the global technology stage.
